Hubs was googling for Dim sum at Mongkok area because i grumbled that we haven't ate dim sum yet since we came to HK. So we tried dimdimsum dimsum at Mongkok after reading some positive reviews about this place.
i think i still miss Tim Ho Wan when it was located just behind my hotel!!!
Liu Sha Bao in the shape of little piglets. very cute but i think back home Canton Dynasty ones are way much better.
Har Gao...also ok.
Bo Luo Baos....yes this is one that I really prefer Tim Ho Wans. There's no char siew inside but real pineapple chunks...so it's a sweet stuffing. I much like a savoury filling with a crusty top that looks like a pineapple rather than getting the real pineapples. Plus it was really a bun texture and no where close to Tim Ho Wan's flaky baked crust....OMG...probably have to go back to SG to settle my cravings.
after dim sum, Hubs wanted to go to this toy shop in TST to try to find a miniature version of his subaru impreza. Yup he got it alright. After he has gotten his toy, we went to Island Beverly and La Foret to walk around...and settled our feet at RBT.
Grilled cheeze crisp....lousy.
Tham Zai Suan Lai Fen (潭仔酸辣粉)this is really good. But you have to add more ingredients on top of the normal bowl of nooodles. I added vegetables while hubs had the pork cheek slices.
Sour and spicy. I almost drank up all the soup.
Serving portion was just right but the service was so slow!!!
More buys from the street markets...more falsies for me, socks for everyone which i bought from Jardine Crescent ($100 for 10 pairs of socks) and minion pjs ($38 each) for the boys.
Che Zai Min...the soup is sooo sooo good!!!
more last minute shopping for myself, MIL and mummy.
