DIY - Moppe Project - Finished Look!

Dear all!

I've finally finished my DIY vintage drawer from an IKEA moppe. This will come in nifty for keeping all my crafty items plus hubs has his own little drawers too.

And I'm pretty pleased with my accomplished look!

here are some of the details:
I've printed some coloured paper and used my own handwriting for "his" and "hers"

here's a closer look at the edges of the drawers where i've sand down to give it a worn out look, so that it will appear to look old. 

And i bought a cherry wood varnish from HomeFix for a new coat of paint.

I'm not going to say what I'm up to at the moment until it's all done. So frightful! I hope it will turn out the way that I want.

Pre Christmas Dinner with Friends

 

the menu which i printed and set it out on the table.

some tea light candles to set the mood at the table. the number tags are for the christmas exchange presents later.

i did name tags for my guests too...and added ribbons to the glassware and they are sitting on top of my polk dot coasters! Oh, i really do have a crush on dotty things.

 my table setting for tonight...almost ready now.

here's a close up in the wreath detail, and the polka dot napkins which i really like from IKEA. I even bought a matching coasters and serving tray. If only they did this print for the table runner and tea towels...i would have gladly bought the whole entire range of kitchenware.

 my handmade wreath to tie the table napkins together. really love a nice table setting especially when it's for a festive occasion like Christmas.  It's really easy to do since Christmas itself has it official colours of Green Red and White.

My loot from IKEA this Christmas

In my previous post, i promised that i will show what i have purchased from IKEA this christmas for the kitchen...and here it is!

i bought the heart shape and red stripe tea towels which i simply couldn't resist. I love all HEARTS and DOTS. Which explains why i must have the red base white polka dotty serving tray, the same red base white polka dotty coasters and serviettes!!!

and HUBS was incredible!! he managed to find a set of crochet white hearts decor pieces for me at the IKEA tampines branch!!! WEE!!!

i was so upset that the ones at IKEA alexandra were all sold out!

 Hi there,

Just wanted to try my luck here to sell off my current study table and 2 drawer units from IKEA.

I'm planning to do a children's study cum play area by the window sill thus the need to do away with my study area.

Hopefully can sell them away then I can start on my new little project for the little one!
