Lunar New Year Day 4 | Pengcai and going over to Mervyn's place

 

Happy 4th day of the Lunar New Year and it is Friday already!

After Siafern and Joey left, hubs started on his pengcai, or yipingguo. Whatever it is, it is a pot full of goodies!!! Home baked roast pork, broccoli, flower carrots, mushrooms, beancurd skin, roasted chicken, tiger prawns, baby abalones and a rich chicken stock.

Setting up my table for chinese style hotpot. Waiting for Joey to come with the prawns. I've the beef and chicken shabu shabu already defrosted in the fridge.

Bought Yu Sheng with salmon from NTUC which I find very affordable and yummy. The sauce given is just the right amount of tangy sweet sauce, the salmon is also very fresh. If you are wondering where to find it, it is usually located at the Sushi section. And I asked hubs to cut some abalone up for our hotpot later.

and so many new year goodies that Sia Fern brought over, but my tummy was so full from the hotpot!

CNY face masks

 

Couldn't resist buying chinese new year theme masks online when they are so cheap, don't ask me how am I going to finish 50 masks when CNY is only 14 days...

Are you like me, trying very hard to resist buying more masks because we haven't the slightest clue as to how long we must continue wearing our masks? Also the government has been giving out those traditional surgical blue or purple masks that looks super boring.

I especially love the KN95 shape masks...so I bought them in 3 basic colours plus this CNY lucky cat one. So what are my 3 basic colours? Black, Grey and White!
