our island developer wasnt very keen about our k-9 (read canine) park/ island....karen (our developer) asked our presenter...

" u haven really explained why you wanted an island there or is there a reason for it being a dog island?"

father baby just gave a very silly answer that the island was for dog lovers and basically for people to walk their dogs....and he guffawed at his own joke. not funny at all. Dun think karen bought that one either.

u know for last week's presentation, not a single group got questioned by karen..and we had to be the first group to kanna...i just want to say... we have very very uncooperative group members and for the whole semester, it was just the 3 of us doing most of the group work ( we did the minutes, the fee proposal and the invoice, printing, binding and handing it up )...and finally down to the last lap of the group presentation, i think the 3 of us just wanted to throw the rest of presentation to the other 3 to do...so what become of it? a very lacklustre, incoherent presentation.

and father baby was suppose to do the programs bit and hand it to cassie for printing and binding yah? well apparently he didnt do it and make cassie wait for his slides till 530pm today (he promised her today afternoon) and just before presentation he said that he had changed some stuff and will print after the presentation. WHAT! i thought we were going to hand in our slides presentation hard copy before he present! so last minute!!! and poor cassie had already printed our slide presentation. she was FUMING mad.

i telll you father baby is an idiot. it's people like these that pulls us down together with them. maybe we will fail for our presentation afterall.

not really the kind of glitzy image i thought a casino would be, look so factory-like...one reader in a survey commented that it look like 3 chimneys puffing smoke!

and when i read about the huge lotus roof museum...my mind just went 'my god...' and all about the lotus as a dish bowl to catch rainwater...

Clover vs Dog

remember i was telling u about the island development for PP3?
well our group earlier had decided on a clover shape one...pretty nice shape i thot....

but after yesterday's meeting, the shape has turned to a dog's head (from aerial view) with the ferries being 'frisby' entering the dog's mouth.

cassie's face was 'pruning' all the way...and wanted to settle back to the clover shape...but father baby over here really wanted a dog head quite badly...

cassie looks at me...and i look at her...sendin signals 'give him the damn doghead!'
finally i opened my mouth..."i think im fine with the dog head...i mean...whatever shape is fine! really! i just want to get this over and done with."

i swear i really don't care anymore.

we went up to the comlab to google for a dog's head. and voila we got one. and so father baby is gg to do the program layout on the dog's head. Meanwhile cassie was pushing him for a date as to when he was going to finish so that she can print it all out and combine our presentation.

haha...father baby just said he will do the programs and advertly avoided the whole qn altogether. Cassie wouldnt give up either!

"So when are u gg to finish this?"
"Erm.....probably monday afternoon we can meet, yah i guess monday afternoon is a good time for me...."

Anyway down the lift, W was complaining about his planning report. Apparently he had gotten only 5/15!!! Cassie just recommended him to take a look at father baby's one cos he got a 14/15.

i think...like i told W, his planning report must be totally incoherent. that's why he failed.
the poor guy is thinking of resubmiting his planning report again. good luck man....i have no time for PP3 anymore...and it's only worth 12credits.

Six years, 500 million euros, 918 meters long.......now this is engineering! This is a channel-bridge over the River Elbe and joins the former East and West Germany, as part of the unification project. It is located in the city of Magdeburg, near Berlin. The photo was taken on the day of inauguration.

Taking six years to build and costing around half a billion euros, the massive undertaking will connect Berlin's inland harbor with the ports along the Rhine river. At the center of the project is Europe's longest water bridge measuring in just shy of a kilometer at 918 meters. The huge tub to transport ships over the Elbe took 24,000 metric tons of steel and 68,000 cubic meters of concrete to build. The water bridge will enable river barges to avoid a lengthy and sometimes unreliable passage along the Elbe. Shipping can often come to a halt on the stretch if the river's water mark falls to unacceptably low levels.
