This year we decided to gift each other a trip to Turkey.

testing out this Meitu app which my colleague introduced to me....hmm...suddenly I feel like a princess! muahaha...and they have made my face so smooth like porcelain and my eyes to doe-eyed.
Looks like me but not me....

Early Wedding Anniversary Lunch @ COMO The Dempsey Cookhouse & Bar
above: fine dining usually serves warm toasted bread on the side...and COMO the Dempsey Cookhouse & Bar also served bread too. But again it was a great disappointment. Not only was it cold, it was soggy and tasteless!!
I came here especially on our early wedding anniversary lunch, hoping to be thrilled and delighted with the food. But alas, it was a real horrible experience. The food was nothing memorable, exciting or enticing. I will never come back even for a million dollars.
but thank you for the service.
above: Signature Dish - Black Truffle and Fortina Cheese.
Can you see the 2 big black boils on my pizza? The whole pizza tasted burnt and bitter and overpowering the truffle. Plus it was soggy and oily, super shiny as you can see from this picture.
Flat dough and the crust was not fluffy at all. Really horrible. I wonder why people even come here to dine.

Dancing Crab @ Vivocity
hubs has craving for lobsters and crabs.
so we decided to try Dancing Crab which is a Lousiana Seafood, my guess is that probably where it all started from...seafood cooked in a pot and served on a table...in a pretty mess?
We had their Dancing Crab Signature Combo - Sri Lankan Crab which cost $88 that came with 1 Sri Lankan Crab, prawns, clams, corn and sausages. And for combos like these, you get to choose your sauce (signature, Beurre Blanc, Zesty Garlic Butter or Creamy Pepper). We tried their Signature in Mild.
For those of you who don't really eat spicy then I will recommend the Mild because after eating awhile, the whole spicy-ness really gets into your head.
And for 2 persons, the combo is good enough. Unless you are really really hungry, then perhaps you can order an appetiser or another main.
overall i think the price is pretty decent, the waiting time wasn't too long but probably because i went on a weekday lunch time. The staff are attentive, the taste is good, the seafood is quite fresh too.
so i will be back!

The Coastal Settlement
A day out with hubs.
every 7th day of the month is our monthsary. sometimes we celebrate it by going to somewhere new to eat. other times we forget due to our busy schedules.
this month, i especially took leave because our insurance agent has given us a pair of tickets to watch Spiderman! So after work, i joined hubs for lunch at The Coastal Settlement.
it's really quite out of place and we missed a turn even though we had our google maps turned on.
Nonetheless we managed to get there and ordered 2 set lunches. The place is nestled in a very lush and green environment but I would say the interiors did not capitalise on this bonus view point. The insides was dark and hardly any daylight can be felt. The tables and chairs that were placed by the full height windows did not allow proper dining which is so wrong and the proper dining areas were all tucked in the dark!
sigh.

| hubs on low chair. so difficult to eat! But I really wanted a view out. |
above: ordinary coffee and even more lack lustre salad
verdict: not coming back here again because the food is like meh, the location is hard to get to and I simply can't understand why the seating arrangement is like this.
