Shenzhen - Happy Valley 歡樂谷

Near our apartment there are 2 large theme parks and today we are visiting Happy Valley!

It's a large theme park covering an area of 350,000 square meters (about 86 acres), the park boasts large quantities of breathtaking and exciting amusements to satisfy anyone's desire for modern entertainments. The whole park is composed of nine areas with different themes, including Spanish Square, Cartoon City, Mt. Adventure, Gold Mine Town, Shangri-la Woods, Sunshine Beach, Typhoon Bay, Playa Maya Water Park and Happy Times. The park encompasses nearly 100 exciting games for adults and children.

We also tried the drop down tower, where we were hoisted right to the top and drop free fall down a few times before the whole ride ended. It was ok too, can see the entire theme park when you are up there!

we tried this wet ride that they distributed raincoats to everyone before boarding the boat! Yup it was a wet ride alright!

 verdict: nothing beats Disneyland, but it's good enough for the locals here I guess.
