Here's some facts on the library (wj and i took 13 flights of escalators, the most in my whole life in half an hour, 14th storey is not opened to public):
The National Library houses the Lee Kong Chian Reference Library (Levels 7-13) and the Central Lending Library(Basement 1).
Collections available include:
Books and magazines for borrowing are located in the Central Lending Library (Basement 1)
Books and other materials in the Lee Kong Chian Reference Library on level 7 to 11 are for reference within the library, and are not for borrowing
Reference Collections that can be consulted at the following levels:
Level 7 for Social Sciences & Humanities, Science and Technology Collections.
Level 8 for The Arts and Business Collections
Level 9 for Chinese, Malay and Tamil Collections
Level 10 for Donors' Collections, Asian Children's Collection
Level 11 for Singapore and Southeast Asian Collections
