Hong Kong Day 01

We took an early flight into HK and reached there about 12noon. Took a cab down to the hotel and check in.
Next, we took the MTR using our Octopus cards and we are off to Central for some lip smacking plump juicy wantons at Mak's Noodles!

Mak's Noodles
77 Wellington St, Central Hong Kong
Opening Hours: Mon to Sun 11am - 10pm

My bowl of hot wantons. Plump and filled with fresh shrimps. Even the stock broth was good albeit peppery for my taste.
hubs had his usual beef brisket noodles.
As the portions at Mak's noodles are relatively small, we made our way down to Lan Fong Yuen for more local delights - toast, milk tea and Pork Chop Bun!
As today is a weekday, there is practically NO QUEUE!!! we just walked into the cafe and order what we want. No hassle and the waitress could wait for us to make up our minds too. Besides their famous toast, milk tea and pork chop bun, the Must Try item on the list is the chicken chop instant noodles which we didn't try because I'm actually saving my stomach space for more noodles!!!

Traditional French Toast with kaya infill and a dash of butter on top.

 hubs really love this one
 Pork Chop Bun
After our quick bite at Lan Fong Yuen, we continued our food hunt journey to a nearby Da Pai Dang Stall - super famous too! To eat their every-kind-every-flavour tomato noodles.
wet market stalls along the road
ah ha! can you spot the queue?
And opposite is the famous Kau Kee Beef noodles - this one will just have to wait. I'm coming back for you!!!
Open Air Da Pai Dang stall - everyone is just eating and people watching. We waited about 20 mins before we got our seats. Thank goodness the weather was ok. The last time I came here, it was scorching hot and we didn't wait out in the sun.

here comes my bowl of spicy diced pork with tomato noodles! OMG it's soooo good!!!
You must all go and try, not just for the ambience but for the super tasty noodles!

 Buys for the day
I bought myself a really good pair of Karl Lagerfield Melissa shoes from the IT outlet! So happy!

Yee Shun Milk Pudding. I really really love their ginger milk pudding. This is the place to go if you love milk puddings. That's for me. Some prefer Australia Diary company...but I still think here's the best!
So that settles my sweet tooth craving...and it's time to settle hubs' craving - SEAFOOD!

although we were really full from the seafood dinner, but we had cable tv in the hotel and it's just us without the kids, so we are really taking this opportunity to WATCH TELLY and SNACK!!!

chomp chomp chomp

and i found this packet of salmon sushi flavoured chips from 7-eleven.
