Sentosa here we come!

Our dear mr goh informed me the previous night that we were gg to spend a night at Sentosa. At first i was abit upset because we took 2 days off for a long weekend and i thought that perhaps he would have planned for something longer that drags through to sunday instead of just celebrating it on thursday.

yes...i was hoping for a relaxing spa at Bintan or Bali...certainly not Sentosa. *wince*
However, lucky for him that he told me that we were going to spend a night at Amara Sanctuary. Aaahhhh...now that's abit better and more forgiven.

And after he told me that he has made a reservation at il lido for dinner. Then all was forgiven. Heehee...

After checking in

After checking into our hotel room, putting our stuff down...we decided to take a walk around the hotel's facilities.

Ritey, that's me heating up on the sundeck chair while mr goh is doing his laps in the pool. We are checking out the "private" seamless pool at the hotel's.

There's another "family" pool downstairs where there's a kiddy pool just for screaming children and concern parents who needs to keep an eye on their progeny.

this private pool is indeed private. There's nobardy here at all! haha all to ourselves. And it has its own pool shower, jacuzzi, view out to the seas, nice sundeck chairs in a row facing the pool and towels by the side.

So here i am, using my spanking new marc jacobs just for this sunny occasion! *grin*

if only they had waiters here serving cocktails and martinis, it would be even a better pool experience for me!

some pictures of Amara Sanctuary's pool deck areas...and of cos our complimentary couple slippers....aint they sweet.

Underwater World@Sentosa

The Underwater World oceanarium on Sentosa is home to more than 2,500 fishes from 250 different species. (recently to the wisma atria basement 1 fishes too!)
We started our tour with the Touch Pool for some 'hands on' experience with starfish, stingrays!
It was my first encounter with starfishes and stingrays!!!!
Then we ventured into the ocean depths via a moving travellator that ferries us through an 83-metre-long acrylic tunnel. All around us were sharks, stingrays, eels and schools of fish glide past – engrossed in their own world. And we were lucky enough to catch 2 feeding times too! so we saw swarms of fishes diving towards the diver who had buckets full of fish food.
And there was a 15% discount for UOB credit cardholders too. and 10% discount on another creditcard. Plus tickets also allows you entry to the pink dolphin lagoon too.
i didn't have many good shots of the fishes while i was on the travellator cos the fishes were all moving so quickly! So...haha, u got to make your way down to see them in real life.

Dinner@ il lido

A very secluded 5 foot-way to il lido. I must say they really wanna hide themselves in the wilderness. Ritey, im all dressed up for a glam nite of eating!

First dish was on the house! Complimentary appetiser from the chef. The waiter was a bit quick in explaining what we were having so i missed out what it was. As i'm not a connoiseur in italian cuisine. I really haven't the faintest clue as to what i was putting into my mouth.
2nd photo above here is a the famous Alessi bread bowl by Michael Aram . Like coral reefs in the sea, embracing the crusty lightly salted crotons! Very nice indeed. Couldn't stop popping them into my mouth until mr goh had to warn me of avoiding side effects of a laryngitis the following day.
3rd photo above is the FIRST DISH OF THE DAY!

Above: mr goh tasting his bavaroise dessert; me over the table; me having my cuppa tea; us at the lobby of il lido taken by mr waiter.
Here are some quick facts:
