Itinerary:
After sitting 6.5 hours on Korean air, we reached Seoul 530am.
530-730am: Breakfast on your own. We settled for Dunkin Donuts.
730am: Start to leave for Daejanggeum. The film location for this famous Korean drama serial starring a lady who worked in the palace and was exiled to an island, later trained to be a doctor and finally was hired back at the palace. Sounds familiar?
9am: Daejanggeum Theme Park
11am - 12nn: Lunch at Sinchon = Korean Chicken Metal Black Pot +cabbage + rice cake.
12nn-330pm: 2.5 hours of street shopping! YEAH!!! this shopping street is cheaper than Dongdaemun and sells a variety of shoes, clothes and is not as crowded as Dongdaemun.
5pm: Domestic flight to Jeju Island. Takes about 1 hour's flight there.
7pm: Dinner = stir fry pork + saba fish
8pm: Dragon Head Rock
9pm: Check in. *FINALLY*
at Seoul International airport. And we were deciding between Coffee Bean or Dunkin Donuts.
Verdict: Dunkin Donuts!!! + coffee!!! Definitely a must at this god forsaken time. I tell you, if it's not because we need to go to Jeju Island + sightseeing other far away places + skiiing ...I will never choose to go on a package tour cos they will PACKED everything like mad.
we chose the "Creme Cheese" donuts which cost $1,300 won each.
me: jotting down our travel notes just incase i might leave out anything....
wj was telling me that there was this weird building outside the airport. Let's go check it out!
our 1st stop of our trip: Daejanggeum Theme Park.
many stalls were lining outside the entrance of the theme park where we bought some snacks after exiting...cos we were so cold!!! hot snacks were so comforting at times like these.
the doors are so tiny over here!!!!
me listening to our tour guide (the one in bright orange windbreaker)
me: WOW!!! got heater fan here babY!!!!! WOOHOO!!!
it's so FREEZING cold out there that we are all huddling infront of the heater fan!
everyone's having a real swell time standing here....
something hot to eat to warm our insides. - korean fishcake. guess what...bleah. this one doesn't have much taste.
mr goh is getting his gloves from the luggage cos he finds it too cold without them! hahaha...meanwhile many were taking chance of taking more clothes and adding more clothes onto themselves while the driver opens the luggage boot.
ok people, back onto the coach, we are moving onwards to Sinchon for....
LUNCH + SHOPPING!
