after a coffee break at starbucks...it's time to move on! A hot cuppa coffee was really very soothing when the weather is so cold. warms me up almost immediately!
above: me all bundled up like a bah-zhang.
korean streets have really mixed and matched buildings lining up with each other. It's really quite unfair to say that they are similar to the shophouses in singapore, because they are not. And they are all rather modern in their own way, full of character and style.
left: public toilet (a stand alone building! how cool is that!) right: MRT station - Sinchon Station.
street scenes of Sinchon before we move to their domestic airport to catch our next flight to Jeju Island.
whilst waiting for everyone to come out from the toilets, wj and I decided to take a picture of this pretty scarlet xmas tree before going into the departure gates.
and we are seating beside a white friend!Guess the korean words above our heads must be "Merry Christmas", hmm anyone knows whether am i right???
yeah! after 1 hours of domestic flight on asiana airlines, we have reached Jeju Island, also known as "Honeymoon Island". Ritey! everyone's tummy is growling by now and so we are off to a restaurant for our dinner.
here's our dinner venue. Don't ask me where cos it was pitch dark and so cold that i couldn't make heads or tails as to which road we were on!
we were having "wu hua rou" as the main dish plus saba fish (very common in our korea foodcourt stalls!) and everything except the saba fish is refillable. Plus there were lots of side dishes too and one of them was tempura veggies! very yummy!!!! And in korea, we always get seaweed soup.
It's always seaweed and kimchi.
Dragon Head Rock (Yongduam Rock) - a famous landmark of Jeju Island, it is an unusual lava formation in the shape of a screaming dragon with its body submerged in the sea. (see how creative people's minds are??!!! these kind of pian xiao hai ; cheat children's story also can come up )
anyway it was BLOODY cold with strong winds blowing, how to appreciate..and at that kind of timing, so dark, hak mang mang, see what? sheesh.
*I WANNA GO BACK* to my hotel already!
