We started our day really early! and i mean it! at 5am!!! where the skies are dark, the birds are snoozing in their nests, the sun is not awake either...only us.
when the hotel phone rang, boy we didn't even want to acknowledge it. Nonetheless we made it down to the hotel lobby at 630am to gather where we had our breakfast. By far it was the sumptous, widest spread of food for the entire trip in korea! and it was the best!!!
with smoked salmon, porridge, kimchi, eggs anyway u want it done, heard the waffles were great too cos mr goh kept going back for second servings...or third or fourth even!
by 850am we were at the airport waiting for our domestic flight to Seoul. However our flight was delayed for an hour or so due to bad weather...yah did i mention that it was snowing when we were boarding our coach to the airport!
12noon: Taduh!! it was bright and sunny and we have reached Everland!
Had lunch there...the tour guide introduced to us some sets...so we listened...WJ had his spaghetti while i had my udon chicken cutlet set.
Next we had some time before we were to meet for the Safari World...it seems that we had to queue pretty long for this ride but somehow our tour guide managed to jump the Q! Kudos to her! Grandma can do wonders!
So during our wait, we visited the 'Rotating House' which was pretty cool! It was some illusionist ride where it looked as if the Haunted House was Rotating!
And we also caught a bit of the "piggy" parade...can't compare to Disneyland. Anyway it was in Korean, so I didn't know what it was about.
Finally we got to the Safari World and saw the one and only Lyger!!!
"huh?"
Lyger is a successful cross between a lion and tiger by the south koreans! and there's only in this world and she is at the Everland Theme park.
Of course there was more to see besides the famous Lyger...there were the sun bears standing just beside our tram, ferocious looking lionesses...tigers ...oh oh the sun bear even sat on his bum bum and tried to touch his paws for us to see!!!! So cute!
above: this is the part where we went on our own...trying out the korean drum, the swinging hat thingy, quite dizzy....and of cos, trying out all the winter animal hats and taking free photos of ourselves! hahahaha.....
i think the Safari Ride was quite enjoyable cos i didnt expect the animals to come so close and it's been awhile since i saw an animal that close-up. Think the last time was at the DisneyWorld safari...which was pretty good too...oh and then there was the nite safari in Singapore where the giraffe was just beside me...but hey the giraffe is a herbivore...so not as scarey as a sun bear or lion or tiger...if u know what i mean.
...to be continued...
