INterConnectionS_INterGaLactic

Dun we just wonder how amazing at how we are all connected in this universe?
Just like in Angels and Demons, how one tries so hard to marry religion and science together.

SCIENCE AND RELIGION ARE NOT AT ODDS.
SCIENCE IS SIMPLY TOO YOUNG TO UNDERSTAND.

i believe that we are connected someway or another. that's why we have friendster to show us how we are connected in this world. ok, friendster aside. today i made a new discovery. how life is so tangible and weak...and that sometimes our lives are not in our total control.
BUT life is also powerful at the same time. transient so to speak. we are evolving everyday. and our minds think of things almost every sec. and today i have decided to use my mind to filter out certain things which i decide that is within my control and leave it at its best.

as happy as a lark.
that's wat i want to be.
we are connected to some people whom we dislike but hey,
i can disconnect that connection too!

thks elle! for all ur listening ears! u go babe!

"White Flag" - Dido

I know you think that I shouldn't still love you,
Or tell you that.
But if I didn't say it, well I'd still have felt it
where's the sense in that?

I promise I'm not trying to make your life harder
Or return to where we were

I will go down with this ship
And I won't put my hands up and surrender
There will be no white flag above my door
I'm in love and always will be I know

I left too much mess and
destruction to come back again
And I caused nothing but trouble I
understand if you can't talk to me again
And if you live by the rules of "it's over"
then I'm sure that that makes sense

I will go down with this ship
And I won't put my hands up and surrender
There will be no white flag above my door
I'm in love and always will be

And when we meet
Which I'm sure we will
All that was there
Will be there still
I 'll let it pass
And hold my tongue
And you will think
That I've moved on....

I will go down with this ship
And I won't put my hands up and surrender
There will be no white flag above my door
I 'm in love and always will be

I will go down with this ship
And I won't put my hands up and surrender
There will be no white flag above my door
I'm in love and always will be

I will go down with this ship
And I won't put my hands up and surrender
There will be no white flag above my door
I'm in love and always will be

familiar faces

it was so nice to see familiar faces again...
hugs and more hugs at the junction of state library...
the first library that i come across which does not allow borrowing of books!

anyhow, after many how are you-s...
we walked to chinatown, little bourke street...
and settled at this very small but crowded shop..
which sells shanghainese food.

we shared a plate of WoTie,
a bowl of sourspicy noodle
and a bowl of ZhaJiangMian.

we were so full after all that!
next we went grocery shopping at WingCheong...
an Asian grocery shop just around the corner...
i gave a little shriek when i saw Yakult!

i bought my first 6 pack of Yakults..
funny how i miss these things...
and i bought luncheon meat, spicy pork and dah dah dah...

and we strolled over to saveway,
where i bought my milk and bread.

finally the familiar faces found their way to my apt.
we used the comfort room for awhile,
and paced ourselves to Vic Mart to take a tram ride

Down to Royal Park for STARGAZING!!!...

oh jie...if only u were there...
the curvy strip of path led to a vast enormous space
"an explosion of space"
as one familiar face said
although it was a cloudy nite,
we managed to see
saturn, sirius and mr moon.
despite the moskies on my face,
the wait for the clouds to wither away
made way to gaze at the stars and planets
were SHIOK!

it was the last session of the starry starry nite at Royal Park.
it was the last friday of the summer period for stargazing.

Autumn is arriving.

this blog is for mag, shilynn and bishuang.

Life in Melbourne

Melbourne:
I have finally reached the stage of independence and insecurity.
I now stay alone, cook my own meals and wash my own clothes.
There is no one here for me...

but..
there's always family in singapore.
and a close one in china.

ps: i miss all of u very very much...

happy birthday JIE

*we went to phillip island and i tot to myself wat a wonderful and scenic place it was. the first stop was at the winery where we picniced at the vineyard. rows and rows of grapes waiting just to be harvested.we took a few pictures to commerate wat we mountain turtles can finally see a vineyard. trust me, there's no vineyard in singapore.

*next, we went on to the wildlife wonderland and i held a sleepy wombat in my arms! phew! was she heavy, her name was wilma and she was 8 months old. then i fed the kangeroos and there were these 2 kangas who didnt give a damn about the tourists.they just lay there motionless and let this chinese girl poke them and poke them and poke them. then i saw the koalas and the dingoes.

*the nobbies made me feel like embracing mother nature...and with a hot cuppa tea and a biscuit...with a warm hug from a loved one watching the sunset from the blowhole was awesome. with giggles and much laughter, we skipped down and back up...wonderful exhilaration!

*the last stop was to see the little penguins arriving at the shore and waddling up the sandy beach. we huddled closely together against the frightful chilly winds and waited and waited and waited. it was a worthy wait. the little penguins was truly an eye opener!

*jie bought me a t-shirt which wrote:
someone who loves me went to Penguin Parade Phillip Island to buy me this shirt.

*happy birthday darling...although there were no cakes or candles, i hope that all ur wishes will come true.
