Meeting up!

a small chat with long time friend alancia...she was all dressed up for the occasion while i came in tee and shorts! haha...oh wells! Anyway we decided to have a quick rundown on the 'happenings' in our lives and settled our butts at NewYork NewYork, a cafe found along citylink beside HMV. The food pricing here are okay (alancia said so although i beg to differ)...im not very impressed as alancia's sandwich looks very thin and dried while my 'Lover's sunset' drink was yucky (bland and i dun feel the juices flowing through at all! like some syrup!) and cost me a whopping $4.90! I rather settle myself at starbucks, thank you. And no, i wouldnt come back here again.

Thai Express for dinner

it's after work once more and wj has craving for green curry! and a thai restaurant was just in the vicinity! SO here we are and wj ordered a green curry chicken, a mango salad for the both of us to share, i had a thai ice milk tea (one of my all time favourites!) and a beef stick noodles which tasted very yummy becos of all the herbs and spices!

the only bad thing was it was so crowded and we were given a 'watchdog' seat which just faced the entrance, no privacy at all and everyone coming in could see what we were eating...overall, the food was good as all its other sister branches and definitely worth the visit if you are tight on your budget yet still have a craving like mr goh here.

February Frenzy

February is a month where i have to burn a big hole in my pocket. If there is anything to burn in the first place as i haven been working for the past 2 years.... sheesh...yes yes i know it's time for me to earn my place in society as how my dear mother would have said it.

1. The first week is our anniversary. Yes! we are turning 2 after so long...seems like forever.

2. The second week is valentine's day which my sis refers to as 'squander's day' becos she doesnt believe in celebrating just that one day to declare ur love for ur other half. She also thinks that buying roses just on that particular day makes all the florists earn all the big bucks and those who purchase them are fools.
I personally think it's a good idea for those who are exceptionally busy the whole year, one day of love declaration aint so bad rite? better than none! although i do believe roses on Vday are really jacked up real high.

3.The third week of february is the bf's birthday. yes wj is turning to the big '3'. i'm planning something for him, although i haven the faintest clue as to what this big plan is going to be and how am i going to get the cash for it! *faints*

gosh...now where is that list of 'things to buy'....

Japanese@Esplanade

ichiban boshi can be found at the esplanade, Great world city, wisma, suntec and novena square.

If u want Japanese food and thinking of your wallet, then i recommend IchibanBoshi! This franchaise japanese restaurant has been doing rather well in singapore with many branches though not as many as sakae. But its sushi is definitely worth the price with many of them having salmon and lobsters as filling. And the best bit is that they taste all your $1.99 worth! Each plate is only $1.99 although it's a common fare nowadays, but like i mentioned before it's the quality that counts!

so i ordered my all time favourtie sushis and a bento set to share with wj, whilst waiting for the rest to turn up...as usual, they were late and i was starving man!!!! so Yitadakimasu!

dear all,

im back in sunny isle once more, will take the time to organise my photos and continue blogging! i know there are many friends out there who are eager to know what are my future plans...well, none! right now i just want to bum around for awhile before looking for a job since working life is going to be for the next 40 years or so, well there's no rushing!

in the meantime, im planning to grow fat, eat well...no more instant noodles for me...and BLOG!

Vivocity

It's a another family outing this brand new year and daddy has brought us to vivocity to take a look at this new megamall done by DP architects with collaboration with an overseas firm: Toyo Ito!!!

roof deck: check! not bad...too bad a water feature became a children's playpool and the water looks very murky...but kids will be kids! they didnt really bother as they were all geared in their bathing suits and splashing all about with an overcast sky above their heads.

interior: check! pretty shiny tiles!!! i lurve it!

circulation: check! not very good...not all the basement bits are connected and the same goes for the roof deck. So if raining dun go to the roof as one end doesnt connect to the other...u might have to go down just to go to the other end and come up again....dun understand? visit the place then u will know.

food: check! Not bad not bad! boasting of many restaurants, eateries, cafes, fast food and of cos 2 foodcourts under one roof! if hungry, u dun have to worry!!!!
