Brunch at the Cellar Door

All i can say is that the service is very slow but attentive.

The food is only so-so.

STRATHMORE PROJECT REVIVE!

We received a new project from a reader who requested for us to rejuvenate, revive and add more personality to her new renovated place.

Let's call our home owner, V.

V emailed us for our services after chancing upon my blog and asked whether besides reno and design works, could we provide some design consultation to her place.

So we were just as curious as her! And we went down to her place to take a look.

WOW!
Her place was already done up nicely and everything was new!!
But what she felt that her new place didn't look new or rather perhaps was just lacking some homey feel to it.

so we were set to the task to help her re-adjust some of her rooms.

Here's her wishlist:

• to keep all her current new furniture
• to have a place to put her piano
• to have more storage area for her toys
• to have another sleeping and study area for her 3 year old son
• to revamp her daughter's room

Weekend Brunch at Home!

Hubs woke up especially early this saturday to make Home Made Breakfast for me!
Bacon, grilled herb tomatoes, meatballs, sausages, runny side-ups and mushrooms on the side with toasted wholemeal bread.

Super Yummy and Hearty.

Forty Hands Cafe Brunch!

Forty Hands Cafe is located in the Tiong Bahru Estate where a few quirky shops sprouted overnight! Besides this funky and popular cafe, opposite it there's a lifestyle shop where you can visit after your meal.

Hubs had the Big Boy Breakfast which was simply delicious! The sausages were tasty, and so were the sauteed mushrooms. It came with 2 fried eggs, baked beans, grilled half tomoate and 2 slices of pita bread topped with garden greens.


And I had the eggs benedict! Yes, lately i have been trying out egg benedict at most brunch places.


we shared a large cafe latte and it was really aromatic! The barrister was very skilled in coffee art too...My latte had a swan in it.

it's quite easy to spot forty hands from the surface carpark with its huge signage at the back. Here once you parked your car, you can enter the cafe via the rear through a small courtyard. There's outdoor and indoor sittings. The outdoor seats are filled with old furniture and industrial wire mesh done up for the table legs.
