Famous for it’s view of the surrounding area it is a pleasant place to catch a cool breeze and watch the sunset. On the north side of the hill about half down is a giant nine meter tall seated figure of the Buddha in the ‘Suppression Evil" pose.

Tung-Ka Café (Hilltop Restaurant)
Head back for Phuket town for an afternoon’s walk.

Night Market at Phuket Town
Go to the Phuket Market and try the Khao Mok Khai roasted chicken on a bed of saffron rice, mixed with ginger which has been fried lightly to make it crispy (20 baht). Look for Look Chin (Thai meatballs). Try a variety of Satays grilled beef pork chicken or seafood on a stick. A Thai favorite fast food Kuay Tiew Moo yellow wheat noodles in a soup stock with roast pork and chopped chives.
Finish your meal with fruits and a Thai sweet like Khanom Thang Taek a Thai style waffle filled with grated coconut, or Khao Niao Pinga combination of sticky rice and coconut milk wrapped in a banana leaf and grilled.

Day2

9am: Breakfast at the resort.
1pm: Lunch

Som Tam Hawkers (papaya salad)

Moving food carts generally found in busier areas of Patong Beach. This traditional northeastern Thai (Isan) dish has become standard fare all over Thailand and can be found on almost every beach in the country. Thin slices of green papaya combined with peanuts, dried seafood, and vegetables all mixed into one spicy salad that is eaten with sticky rice and fresh grilled chicken. Makes a perfect lunch to nibble on while soaking up sun on the beach.

2pm: After lunch…
Off to Kata Beach!

Places to go:
-Relax Bay
Five minutes south of Patong Beach, as you climb the hill you will see a large hotel complex on your right. This is a good place to pull off to the side of the road for a minute and enjoy the scenery
watch the white bellied sea eagles!!!

-Viewpoint
Along the coast road between Kata Beach and Nai Harn Beach is situated a large public pavilion where you can rest and enjoy the spectacular view. Visible from this vantage point you can see three of Phuket’s prettiest bays, Kata Noi, Kata Yai, and Karon Beach.

-Wat Chalong

Have your fortune told!
Just inside the main hall on the floor before the image are two cans of what looks like shaved bamboo chopsticks. Pick one up and shake the can back and forth rhythmically until one of the sticks works its way to the top and falls to the floor. Read the number, then walk around the corner to the right where there is a wooden cabinet on the wall. Open the drawer with the corresponding number and take one of the slips of paper inside. Get someone to translate it for you or hold onto it until you get back to your hotel where the desk clerk can translate it. Also on the floor are several pairs of red wooden blocks made from bamboo roots and shaped like twin halves of a mango. These help you make decisions. Pose a question that requires a ‘yes’ or ‘no’ answer. Toss the a pair blocks in the air and watch how they land on the floor. If both land with the same side up the answer is ‘no’; if they land, one up and one down, the answer is ‘yes’. Whichever form of divination you choose, be sure to leave a donation at the alter. It will go towards the upkeep of the shrine.

-Cape Promthep (Kata Beach)

Watch the sunset and have Seafood dinner at Kang Eng Restaurant in Chalong Bay
Back to Patong Beach.
