we are flying into Siem Reap via our favourite friendly budget airline once more...and it's yup, Jetstar Asia. Ever since the beginning of budget airlines, i think it makes travelling much easier on the pockets! Yippee yay yay!
Bad news: our flight is delayed by an hour and so we will only reach Siem reap at 745am instead of 705am.
Good news: we overslept and thot our flight leaving was 7am but it was not, it was scheduled to leave at 6am!!!! Heng it's delayed! hahahahha.
Ritey, enuff of crap. Guess wat. I met my Uni classmates!!! How coincidental is that! same day on the same flight! *faints* Yup, saw them having kopi and toast while i was getting myself a cuppa kopi too. It was bloodee early and i needed my caffeine fix if not im just gg to drop to the floor zzz-ing.
Anyway, if any of you are interested, here's the hotel we stayed in.
Prince D'Angkor & Spa Siem Reap (4 stars)
Location: Sivatha Blv Mondul II
Sangkat Svay Dangkom Siem Reap
Cab ride from the airport is a flat rate: US$5
The exchange rate is 7000 riels:US$1
Over here in Siem Reap, the US currency has become the de-facto currency. Although one may still use Riels for small change at convenient stores, small shops, markets etc.
Day01 - Arrival@ Siem Reap, Bayon Temple, Roluos Group, Psar Chas

Above: US just gotten off the plane; my 3 musketeers friends; Siem Reap airport!

Above: Photos taken from the cab....couple bike in motion, live ducks going to be sold and slaughtered; directions

Above: Ritey and we have reached our hotel, first photo from the left...Lobby, double volume, rather grand...next, day-bed..nice! and Welcome drinks! so refreshing!!! *Slurps* Really welcoming on a hot morning! and lastly the statue outside the entrance.
Next row: Toilet, balcony, overlooking the other side of our hotel, Swimming pool.

Insides: bed...moving to dressin table...and seating areas. Quite spacious, clean sheets and toilet. Shower and bath-tub too! (not in photo...hahaha)

After settling ourselves down at the hotel, we washed up, slapped on our sunblock, mosquito repellent and off we went to find some lunch!
Walked to this little cafe called: Red Piano (really famous, recommended in Lonely Planet + visited by Angelina Jolie!)
Try: Lok-lak (beef dish with rice) very asian like, quite yummy + traditional Khmer dish. I would say it's a very safe choice.
Location: close to old market and bar street. You wouldn't miss it as it's at a corner.
Price: Less than US$10 (reasonably priced)
