Eastern Europe Day 9 - Budapest to Vienna (Austria)

After crossing the border into Austria, we went to Parndorf Designer Outlet where we had 3 hours to ourselves for some solid shopping.

After Lunch, we arrived in the beautiful city of Vienna otherwise known as Wien. Vienna represents the glorious legacy of the illustrious Habsburg Dynasty. Our city tour made rounds to Ringstrasse to Opera House, Hofburg, Parliament Building, Town Hall and the Burgtheater. The city is very big and is in a loop so our coach made one loop around all the famous buildings.

for us to walk the entire loop probably will take a few days!

Schonbrunn Palace

The Schonbrunn Palace is part of the World Cultural Heritage and Austria's most visited attraction. This Baroque synthesis of different arts, consisting of a palace and gardens, had been in the possession of the Habsburgs for centuries, and has been restored to its original condition. There are numerous attractions, from a tour through the authentically furnished residential and representational rooms of the impreial family in the palace, through a labyrinth in the garden to a separate children's musuem. The palace and gardens reflect the tastes, interests and aspirations of successive Habsburg monarchs.
