Saigon Day 02 ~ Lunch a la Vietnam House

Address:
95 Dong Khoi St, Dist1, Saigon, Ho Chi Minh City
Tel: (84-8) 827 2188.

Authentic Vietnamese cuisine accompanied by a traditional floorshow. Vietnam House with its green louvered windows and high ceilings is one of the oldest restaurants in Saigon.

Here, we sampled the Hue-style spicy noodle beef soup, deep fried prawn wrapped in green rice (something new to us!) , appetiser combo - Vietnam House Khai VJ which includes Cho gio, Nem nuong, Bo la lot, Cha ca. (highly recommended to try a variety of finger bite local snacks)

And as for dessert we tried the banana fried fritters which we thought was so-so.

Pricing:
A decent meal for two should not cost more than US$15.
