Night Festival @ The National Museum of Singapore
18 – 19 and 25 -26 July 2008

Events Highlights
Studio Festi International performing arts company known for staging large-scale outdoor extranganzas of dance, acrobatics and pyrotechnics. Projects they have completed include the opening for the 2006 Turin Winter Olympics, and the recent 100-day Olympic countdown celebrations in Macau. Making use of the expansive landscape for the Night Festival, the sky is literally the limit as Studio Festi pulls out all stops and transforms the Museum grounds and SMU Campus Green with soaring dancers, helium-balloon ‘planets’ and flying ships and pianos.

  1. Free Newater given! Look for white tentage at SMU campus Green
  2. Very crowded. go early to avoid being blocked by others
  3. Smell of sweat everywhere.
  4. prepare for some amount of shuffling, pushing and shuffing, pushing.
  5. nonetheless i enjoyed the flying ship the most as it was very dramatic, beautiful and romantic. Especially when it started a light shower as a backdrop.
  6. i thought the rolling ball was like an alien BIG rolling eyeball attacking civilians across stamford road! it was hilarious!
