CHANG Korean Charcoal BBQ

"Hello from US! "

Here is the place where we ate for our anniversary nite. Currently, i'm trying out all the F&B outlets at Tanglin Village since it's one of the hippest places outside of town yet near town amidst mother nature.
Rochester is abit out of place for me now! Anyway, back to the food cos that's what i'm going to blog about.
The service was impeccable, we had Donna, our waitress to serve us the whole nite. She bbq-ed our pork belly till crisp and juicy (very succulent, goes terrific with their chilli sauce and lettuce wrap) and all bbq sets came with other loads of smaller dishes (appetisers to be exact)
Really many, wj was quite amazed! we had cold jellyfish, coleslaw, sashimi, anchovies with walnuts, seaweed, a big serving of kimchi, enoki wrapped with omelette and a vegetarian wrap. PHEW!

After standing for half an hour, bbq-ing and teaching us the ropes of eating korean food, she continued another half an hour to bbq our boneless beef rib till perfection! And i must say their mushrooms are so yummy on the grill! So it was a really wonderful treat at Chang's.

i guess the only downside would be the ambience, very stark white and brightly lit, almost like those cosmetic counters u find at big departmental stores.

bibimbap, grilling hot pork belly, pretty cutlery

our prime boneless rib, amazed wj, satisfied me!

thanks to our friendly and helpful waitress: DONNA!
