Beijing Day 01 - DingDingXiang Hotpot 鼎鼎香

This Mongolian-style mutton hot pot restaurant is tremendously and justifiably popular for its signature dipping sauce, a flavorful sesame sauce so thick they have to dish it out with ice-cream scoops.

Large plates of fresh sliced lamb are affordable since the place is done up pretty nicely as you pay for the ambience and service.

It is cleaner, more classy and upscale than most other hotpot joints. You get your own individual mini hotpot - at most other places everyone shares a single big central hotpot. Diners have a wide variety of beef cuts to choose from till you go crazy.
